Is Play Bomber free to play?
Yes! Play Bomber is completely free to play in your browser. No download required, no account needed. Just click "Play Now" and start bombing.
We support development through optional donations and non-intrusive ads. If you'd like to help keep the game free, check out our Support page.
What browsers are supported?
Play Bomber works best on modern browsers:
- Chrome (recommended) - version 90+
- Firefox - version 90+
- Safari - version 14+
- Edge - version 90+
For the best experience, make sure your browser is up to date and WebGL is enabled.
Can I play on mobile or tablet?
Yes! We have touch controls optimized for mobile and tablet devices. You'll see a virtual D-pad and action buttons when playing on touchscreen devices.
For the best experience, we recommend playing in landscape mode on tablets. Phones work too, but the smaller screen can make it trickier to navigate tight spaces.
The game is lagging or running slow. What can I do?
Here are some things to try:
- Close other browser tabs (they consume memory)
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
- Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser
- Try a different browser (Chrome usually performs best)
- Check if your device is in low-power mode
If issues persist, open a bug report with your device/browser info and we'll investigate.
How do I save my progress?
Your progress is automatically saved in your browser's local storage. This includes:
- Highest stage reached
- High scores
- Settings preferences
Note: Clearing your browser data or using private/incognito mode will reset your progress. Cloud saves are planned for a future update.
Can I use a gamepad/controller?
Gamepad support is on our roadmap but not yet implemented. Currently, you can play with:
- Keyboard: Arrow keys (or WASD) to move, Space to place bombs
- Touch: On-screen D-pad and buttons on mobile/tablet

Is there multiplayer?
Not yet, but it's the most requested feature! We're actively working on:
- Local multiplayer (2-4 players on same device)
- Online multiplayer (coming later)
